The new banknotes maintain the same size (14 × 7 cm), material (cotton) and colors as the old cuts. In the case of the 100 bolivianos note, the color red predominates. Of course, they changed their images and increased security measures.
Among the characters found on the new 100 bolivianos note are: Juana Azurduy de Padilla (1780-1862), the Bolivian patriot who fought for the emancipation of South America in the Latin American wars of independence against the Kingdom of Spain. It was a heroine of the war that gave independence to Upper Peru (now Bolivia) at the time of the Viceroyalty of the Rio de la Plata, joined the popular army with her husband, as many women of that time joined the struggle .
The new bill also incorporates the indigenous caudillo Alejo Calatayud (1705 - 1731), who led a violent rebellion, and became a local hero among the plebeian masses of the province of Cochabamba.
Finally there is the image of the Marshal, Antonio José de Sucre, second President of Bolivia and protagonist of his independence.
On the back of the ticket, however, the images of the MINT HOUSE of Potosí - the largest work of colonial civil architecture in Bolivian territory - were included; of the Rainbow Waterfall; of the PARROT Blue Paraba's family - Bolivian species in danger of extinction-; and the Flor del Patujú National Flower of the East Land.

Eso sí, cambiaron sus imágenes y se aumentaros las medidas de seguridad.Entre los personajes que se encuentran en el nuevo billete de 100 bolivianos están: Juana Azurduy de Padilla (1780-1862), la patriota boliviana que luchó por la emancipación de Sudamérica en las guerras de la independencia latinoamericanas contra el Reino de España. Fue una heroína de la guerra que dio la independencia al Alto Perú (actualmente Bolivia) en tiempos del Virreinato del Río de la Plata, se unió al ejército popular junto a su esposo, al igual que se incorporaron a la lucha muchas mujeres de esa época.
